@Teryl_Pacieco But isn't this kind of counterproductive? If you give them lots of sugary treats, wouldn't they get a sugar rush? ;)
Unless you gave them SO much that they can't move anymore? :D
@Teryl_Pacieco I figured, but you wanted to read in peace! :D
@trinsec Perhaps if the parents realize leaving their children there winds them up or makes them ill, they will stop bringing them. After all, children are children, there's no good reason to punish the children themselves for being bored or neglected in such a way.
@trinsec Witches live a long time and can be patient.
It's not like she can monitor every person who comes in to leave their child; sometimes a child IS there to ead quietly or be tutored.
What more creative solution would you propose?
@Teryl_Pacieco That kind of depends. Do you feel like reading kid's books? PROGRESSIVE kid's books? Oh boy, are they in for a treat! Especially if you're good at doing voices and facial expressions too!
@trinsec This witch dislikes children, giving them candy and sending them away is one thing but reading to them? Helping them learn hard words? No thank you.
@Teryl_Pacieco 😂 🤣
Fair enough! 😄 Though there shouldn't be really hard words in a kid's book!
Oooh oooh, what about self-reading books?
@trinsec This is more to punish the parents after they pick their [now hyperactive and/or possibly on the verge of vomiting] children up.
