How many freaking indie game publishing platforms are there?

From what I can tell, there's community-specific ones (The AGS Games Database), then there's stuff like GameJolt, then storefronts ranging from Itch.io to Steam to Humble Bundle, then OS-specific app stores like The Mac App Store.

I know that I don't necessarily need to start worrying about it yet...but, my god, there's a lot of places to target. 😛
