@zstark Oh holy shit. My parents had a kettle like that I think, and that was completely boiled dry. So once my dad turned off the stove and put the kettle under the faucet (to refill it), holy moly doly koly (whateveroly) that's a shitton of steam coming out of it before the water finally could stay put in there. :D

Kettle still is intact and they're still using it, jeez. I just use an open pan, then I can see when it's boiling. :P With induction it doesn't take too long anyway.
