i decided to try and play minetest for a bit today, so i joined chjara 's instance

it was decent, but then i got killed by a enderman thing and i lost my place, my stuff and my level without warning.

i couldn't make a bed or really do much of what i wanted since there's no proper crafting guide

sigh

my main complaint was that my second spawn was in a completely different spawn location, so there's absolutely no way to find my house or whatever. i don't have any bearings, it's gone forever.

i can deal with making mistakes in game and having consequences, but in this case it feels really unfair to be put in a different place each spawn

@jookia Wow. Was there no way to determine coordinates?

@jookia Well, in Minecraft you could figure out the coordinates of where you were at currently via F3 (or via mods like the minimap). Doesn't Minetest have something similar to give you an idea of your bearings?

@jookia I don't know, I'm playing Minecraft, not Minetest. 😅

Maybe mash the F-buttons to see what they do?
