Yeah robot workers.

I saw a bit of Countryfile on the #BBC and they had a #robot strawberry picker and they raced it against humans. The robot was really slow - really slow - and took ten times as long or something.

And I'm like: why are they showing this? Strawberry season is a few months. For the cost of that robot you could easily hire some humans for that time period. And they'd do a better job.

I suppose in the long run the robot is cheaper. Plus it can work 24 hours. So robot wins?

@lydiaconwell Except that there are not enough humans to do this job. The UK had to let a part of its fields rot away because there simply were not enough (British) workers who wanted to work there (for those very low wages).

@trinsec I see. The robots are there to make up for the Brexit catastrophe.
