The tall Amazonian warrior stood before the king, beside her; the child he had sent to be trained, considerably scruffier than before, and back far sooner than expected.

"We cannot train this one," she announced.

"Did the princess perform poorly?"

The Amazon shook her head, "No, your son is quite adept but you know the rules; no men in our lands."

"That is not my son," huffed the king, more confused than angry.

The Amazon shrugged.

"If you do not want him back, we know a warrior tribe that would gladly have him."

"Fine, fine, as long as my child comes back with honed skills."

"You can still send your princess to train with us," said the Amazon.

The king rubbed his temples, "I have only two children and I already sent you my d--"

"No," interrupted the Amazon, pointing to the crowned youth peeking in from a side door, "I sense an Amazonian Spirit within that one."

The King's gaze swiveled towards his other child.

"I'm beginning to suspect you just want to steal my children."

"I'm beginning to suspect you're just not a very good parent."

Both children gasped, as did the nobles, guards and servants present.

"Do you intend to attempt to take my children from me?"

"Attempt? If they wish it, I will succeed," stated the Amazon plainly, "Children should be who they are."

The King took deep breaths.

"Fine," he waved a heavily ringed hand, "As long as I have one son and one daughter at the end of it."
