A zebra jumping spider (Salticus scenicus) specimen. They can jump distances up to 20x their own body lenght. They jump by explosively straightening their hind legs. As they are lacking extensor muscles, leg extension is achieved via haemocoelic (blood) pressure. 🕷️
@trinsec 6mm in lenght, they are really tiny and couldn't harm you. And they eat all kinds of pest insects/arthropods, including mosquitos. Truly cute spiderbros!
