Is there a preferred interface/app for this? Using Android Chrome browser the feed is constantly flashing/twitching/scrolling. Impossible to read. And I can't search because it hides the search bar while I type. Why?

@TJ_dacks I generally use the web interface because Qoto has extra features which won't get reflected properly in most apps.

Would using another browser be an option? There's Vivaldi for Android that I use which seems to work fine.

If you really want an app, people have reported Fedilab or Tusky working okay with this instance.

I can also recommend turning on the 'Slow' option in the settings, maybe that's the cause for the scrolling.

Welcome to Qoto and the Fediverse, by the way!

@trinsec Thanks! I found slow mode right after posting this, but the Federated feed still scrolls by so fast there's no way to read it and it jumps around like it's loading all the media at random. I would rather make it work on Chrome, one less app to manage, I just wasn't sure if the site was designed to work better on something else. I'll keep poking around settings.

@TJ_dacks That's strange, because slow mode adds a clickable 'x new items' on top which then shows new content after clicking on it. Try reloading the site?

Have you saved the changes after selecting slow mode? Might be that it got overlooked as the save button is at the top.

@trinsec you're right it looks like I didn't save on the first try. I also just hid all media, which seems to have taken the jumpy thing down a notch.

@TJ_dacks Excellent! Hope your experience here's improved now! :)
