Well, I’m still having trouble figuring #mastodon out. I’ve read several #mastotips that suggest the key here is to reblog, but it just seems weird seeing everyone elses’s posts on my feed?
This is probably why I never really got into the bird site or instagram or whatever. I feel like my feed should be just… me.
@DrJLCatlett You don't need to boost around like crazy, I barely do that either. Though the last week has been a little bit weird and I've reshared some useful Msatodon tips lately. But when things settle down it'll be back to more than 90% of my stuff being my own content.
@trinsec makes sense. Maybe I’ll tone it down.
Right now I appreciate the boosts other people are doing because it is helping me find interesting people to follow. But I guess hashtags would be just as good.
Maybe I’ll chill for a bit, see where it goes now.
@DrJLCatlett Though it might help to know that your followers have the option to turn off boosts from the person they follow (per-person toggleable). So don't feel altogether too bad over it. ;)
