#Ghibli I watched #SpiritedAway the other day. I hadn't seen it in a long time. It's on #TV quite a lot so I've seen bits of it part way through many times.
I think it's probably the most coherent Ghibli animation. It's enjoyable and everything works well. It doesn't seem to go off on the usual kinds of tangents the other animations do.
The themes of work and nature and greed are clear and they compliment each other well.

@lydiaconwell This is one of my favorite Ghibli movies. It's got such a nice flow.
I've seen a Ghibli movie recently, Earwig. It's a bit weird.
@trinsec I don't know about all Ghibli movies but Miyazaki who directed and wrote would begin animating before the story was written. Things would then take form organically with ideas added on a whim, which is why the stories are often disjointed and go off on tangents.
Sometimes this method pays off.
