Why you join at #mastodon?? 🤔
@em Well you asked why I joined mastodon (or rather, the Fediverse), and not doing a comparison would be difficult if that was one of the major reasons to join.
I didn't join qoto.org at first. I joined mastodon.social first, but I decided that 500 characters wasn't quite nice enough.
Then I joined mastodon.host which had 2000 characters (later 4000), but it crashed very hard after 2 years and couldn't be recovered.
So I had to search for a new server, but I didn't want 500 characters. At least 2000 would be nice. Qoto.org was one of those with more than 2000 characters and the theme was fine to me and I liked the extra features.
So, I chose qoto.org.
@trinsec That's good point. But please don’t compare twitter with mastodon. Mastodon/Fediverse is unique & different than other social/micro blog. There are so many mastodon instance that have 10k+ character like tildi.zone, infosec.exchange etc. Why you choose qoto.org? 🤔
