This week I got the keys to my new apartment. It's 6 minutes drive from work (or 11 minutes by bicycle), and I'm sharing with two other SpaceXers.

Here is my room:

On Friday, I went to IKEA and bought a few essential things. We're still missing fridge, washing machine, drier, microwave, and a lot of other stuff...

Even the toilet brush comes with detailed assembly and recycling instructions... and you can call IKEA in case you have any doubts! 😀

There. Ready for the first night!

They didn't have the bed frame I wanted, but I don't mind sleeping on the floor for a few days...

Meanwhile, in Tokyo, my friends are dismanteling my old apartment...

My furniture, less than 3 years old, will get "recycled" since nobody wanted to take it, not even for free 😓

@codewiz I was so sad when I moved out of my Tokyo apartment and the same happened to me… my furniture was very cheap but also ~1.5 years old only, and I was happy to give it away for free. No luck.
