Today's gee whiz piece about #GPT4 asks a VC about the prowess of the system. They example they choose to illustrate "It has learned to be more precise" is a set of tips to learn Spanish. The system comes with the mnemonics below. The best of these are worthless. The majority are worse than worthless—they get the pronunciation horribly wrong.

Adios rhymes with "my toes"?
Tres rhymes with dress?

It's just embarrassing for the Times.
