@waltercool don't get it, the proposal is that yellow symbol you posted? Excuse my ignorance... Hope something works for resollution, peaceful resollution hopefully, hard to imagine, but some progress towards peaceful resollution seems to be made in Northern Ireland? not that I know much about either issue really...

@uisce Oh, that’s the symbol of the Kingdom of Jerusalem flag. A Kingdom used to exist 1000 years ago.

That would likely resolve the issue just like it works at Lebanon, another multi-ethnic/religious country, but without this issue.

This problem was directly caused when UK decided a split could be a good idea.

@waltercool hhmmm...
I did not know of that Kingdom, intersting.
From my brief scan of wikipedia just now, I can't say I am convinced that it is an example to look to. Seems like plenty of fighting and struggles for power and domination of others...

@uisce Oh yeah, for that period of time it was definitively a religious war.

What they need is some kind of unified country for Israel and Palestine people, without using those names (to avoid conflict).

Kingdom of Jerusalem is a non-Jewish non-Muslim name for the same land, something it can provide unity to both sides while staying religiously agnostic.

Kingdom because modern Monarchies (semi-constitutional) don’t mess with religion, while modern politicians can lead to severe autocratic dictatorships like Iran or slowly Erdogan’s Turkey
