@dethos For extremely sensitive situations like this I think generally a low-tech solution, even with logistic or convenience downsides, is the way to go.
@valleyforge agree, we must be very careful with how this stuff is done. If done right, it can be much much better than the low-tech solutions, but it is very hard to get it right.
