@ultem I don't know about their new stuff but their old stuff developed a well deserved reputation for being unreliable. For that price I'd recommend something from Ruger if you can find a deal on it or a used M&P

As a German I was highly biased against Taurus, but for 280USD new, this seems like a nice gun for someone who just wants to carry for protection. All the reviews I saw lauded it.
