@alex Routers send packets where they need to go. This would still be needed if everything had a public ip

@valleyforge I was starting to realize that after I hit send. What’s the part called that does the forwarding then, a firewall? Wait I answered my own question.

It's not dumb. A huge mush network could have a topography where this makes sense to think abstractly without constraint of current infrastructure.
