@gat I wouldn't be surprised if there was a move to ban guns without firing pin blocks eventually. What the hell, even my old P series has a firing pin block

@valleyforge They do it on purpose in competition guns, in order for the transfer bar not having to activate safeties such as firing pin blocks, and thus feel better.
@valleyforge The ironic part is, in my view, most buyers of CZ Shadow 2 will never know the difference. I know that I cannot tell between Shadow 2 and Beretta 92X Performance, which retains the same firing pin block that any other 92X has. Maybe if qualified as Master, then I could tell.

@gat The loss of sales they're going to get over the fact that their gun is known to fire when dropped, especially because it's already killed someone, is probably more significant than the increase in sales that they got from .05 lbs decrease in trigger pull.

@valleyforge I don't think many people interested in Shadow 2 are that weak-minded. Just consider all the Series 70 and 1911A1 in circulation. CZ Shadow 2 is no different from those. CZ will only take a hit in sales if Shadow 2 and other race guns get banned from USPSA and/or IPSC events.
@gat

Agreed. The important thing to remember is you are responsible for your equipment. Including not missing your holster.

Ban the Shadow, the Series 70, and the 1911A1, and you alienate the sport further from the practical hope of promoting better handling of what you intend to carry. Anyone who thinks the 1911 guys are going to give up their trusty sidearm and buy a Series 80 just to comply, or thinks most Shadow guys actually EDC the thing, is only fooling themselves.

And I say this as someone who frequently varies between a full size 1911A1, Hi Power, SP-01, and a cute little .380 ACP single stack. I know the difference in size and totally get why people who have fancy competition pistols carry something else.
