@captainepoch Why is now worse than any other time?
@captainepoch Why? What makes now or ten years ago "one of the worst moments of the history of the human race"?
@captainepoch The unemployment rate is actually really low right now.
The debt and pandemic and things are bad but they're hardly worse than stuff like the any number of significant wars, aids, or the cold war that have happened in the last 50 years

@captainepoch I'm in Texas and I think our government handled it ok. We're basically back to normal here
@captainepoch That's hardly the worst thing the Spanish government has done in recent history
However, wars took a few years to destroy what was already built, and took several years to recover from each one of them, whether it was WWI, WWII, or any civil war at any country.
The pandemic was like a war, but in one year. Everything stopped and not a single government could handle it (as expected, because this was totally new for our actual society, although it could be handled better, sure).
The employment rate is low everywhere. In USA I don't know how things are, but here in Europe the Central Bank is loaning money for each country of the union. Thousans of millons of euros. That's a huge loan for each country, for which we won't be able to be free for years, even generations... Meanwhile, instead of managing everything, governments only know how to put more taxes on the people instead of handling the money waaaaay better.
So I think this is a reaaaaally bad moment for us, to be honest...
