Before I started going to shooting matches a lot I didnt truly appreciate the benefits of a takedown gun. I basically dont want to buy a non-takedown longarm ever now

@valleyforge What do you think about e.g. KelTec RDB-S? It's a bullpup with a collapsible stock (to an extent).

@gat Well I don't shoot .223 in competition so it's kinda moot but overall I'm not usually a fan of bullpups

@valleyforge I'm curious, what do you shoot? My only takedown is Ruger PCC, which surprisingly holds zero, but overall I'm not sure I'm sold on the concept. Of course shotgunners were breaking them up since 18th century.

@gat Takedown 10/22 for steel challenge. I can throw all my steel challenge stuff in a backpack. Steel challenge isn't exactly a precision sport so holding exact zero isn't a huge priority.

@valleyforge I agree in general, although Five To Go features a 10" plate at 18 yards. That is not a MOA precision, but it's something that Taurus Curve can easily miss. You have to have sights zeroed to hit that.
