@valleyforge it's pretty laughable that they need 5x the displacement and double the weight to make 3x the power of a 250cc bike from the 90s

@izaya About 5x the torque though and a substantially higher top speed. They're definitely different types of bikes. Assuming you're talking about the honda cb250rr

@valleyforge Nah, don't even need to go for a 4-pot screamer, just the cute little ptwin ZZR250.
Torque is admittedly quite significantly different but if you're not a landwhale that seems like a fairly minor concern. I'd classify both as sport touring, though perhaps in opposite ends of the market (cheap, light, value for money vs expensive, heavy, paying for brand name)
@valleyforge One bike having less torque than another won't stop it from working, though, as long as it has enough.

@izaya more torque means a faster bike. Torque and horsepower are related
