Been at a gun show today and saw Winchester's attempt to make a 10/22. I was tempted. It's so handy! So cheap! Sadly I cannot seem to come up with an excuse.

@gat The disassembly on the wildcat is pretty great. That's probably the biggest flaw of the 10/22

@valleyforge IMHO 10/22 is not worse than most guns of the period. And in absolute terms, it's not at the scale of Mark III. But I do suspect that Wildcat deserves a little more popularity.

Eternal parts availability is a key win for Ruger on this one. You buy a 10/22 and you know it’s not going to become unobtainable.

Easier cleaning is the whole reason I selected the 10/22 takedown instead of the standard model. The bolt and receiver are still a hassle to clean though
