#Mastodon How to back up my profile and toots here in case a server falls down? Is there any method for back up periodically done toots and similar?

@trinsec A follow up question: how to create an instance, how to create a server and who to back up my posts here...Any place where I can see that?

I have a hard question: I had registered my current nickname here an "the others" long time ago, but after me coming back I had to re-register myself as if I have never been here. So, if a server falls down, are our posts, identities felt down as if we had never existed on this site? I can see a higher weakness if this is true...Anybody knows?

How could I follow people from another servers?

1. I need an alternative to Instagram capable to support my +5K on IG and a similar quantity in the future.

2. I need a gathering of groups like the old Facebook.

Any alternative here in the Fediverse?

To Mastodon users:
- Is Mastodon decentralized? Any risk of servers falling down?

@trinsec Well, I am using Manjaro at the moment, so, as a Linux User since the death of my first and unique PowerG4, I live with opensource since then. I only need an opensource phone (I keep the eye on Manjaro shop and the arm cellphones there, but I don't know if they are already good enough for purchase).

@trinsec How is this site funded without any ads and so! I am free from distractions and bad attitudes...Thinking to leave Twitter for this site, but I would miss my followers, a Nobel Prize like F. Wilczek included, even if we don't interact too much,...Mastodon seems incredible.
