Yeah, I just don't think they are largely rioting against other whites. They are not targeting whites per se (how do you recognize if its a white shop or black shop?). A saw a lot of videos of burning police cars and stations, big companies. I know it's mostly anecdotal, but right now we can only guess.

Can there be some people who are racist for sure I just dont think its the overall trend.

There is a large portion of the right who see blacks as a "bad race" and that includes fellow blacks.

Again, I disagree with the "largely by race" take. Both races rioted together, looted together. I would say it's a class thing and sadly the upper class is more white.

I don't understand why it's a class thing too. Maybe if we add up the pandemic deprivation and economic situation of the poor it would make more sense.

In my opinion they are multiple groups pushing multiple agendas.

@Napo @freemo this was a more general statement. I don't thing this video supports any side, because so much context is missing. Aiming with bow at protesters is stupid and demolishing civilians car is stupid. Ending was justifiable I think. I would rather see someone beaten up then someone death.

@Napo @freemo you can't really defend this behaviour. They are attacking civilians. Just condemn this behaviour is shitty. You can still support the underlying idea and reasons but fuck the looters, they're just opportunists. There are a lot of people that demonstrate peacefully or riots against police/establishment. We should focus on them and the message they are trying to deliver.

@freemo What do you think about other stuff that happened parallel to this. Like CNN reporter getting arrested for trying to document rioting by the police. Or trump saying that "If there is looting, there will be shooting".

I would prefer demonstration of milions vs rioting of hundreds all day any day. It would be equally effective and without bad optics.

@freemo Problem is if your social group is not affected by something that much you are less keen to do something about it, which is the reason why this is still happening in 2020.

I am not trying to justify rioting. I would prefer to live in peace, but no one really gave a fuck until this happened. In the long run this is unproductive, looks bad and creates additional hate towards minority groups.

@freemo It is so sad that arresting a murderer took riots all over Minneapolis. Yeah, it affects us all, but not equally and not everyone is uniting. It is just much more comfortable to ignore the problems.
