Bird Site, Fascism

@malwaretech I truly want to understand this dichotomy.

```The left claim tolerance and diversity but in the same time they will cut off (ban/deplatform) anyone with a divergent thoughts or opinions.```
Also, the word Fascism has been used so willy-nilly that it has lost it's weight and meaning.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@voidabyss @malwaretech Fauci did the best he could do with the folks he had around him. I don't have tolerance when someone is f'ing around with the health of my family and that's exactly what he's doing. Ones rights for freedom stop with you, not when one can get me and my family sick. He can think all he wants, but the minute that he as owner of the site posts it, he's no longer just giving his own opinion but giving management weight to it. Whether you are left or right, when you are in a leadership position you have to moderate your thoughts. You impact others and should understand that and act accordingly.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@susanbradley
I agree with most of what said, people in authority should moderate their thoughts to a certain extent, although sometimes that freedom of expression gives us a window to understand their mindset, which is good thing in a democracy were the people have the power to change who is in authority.
About Fauci as the men in change of public health, had the authority
to suppress information/discussion regrading it's origines, early treatments and alternative remedies. Censoring many renown scientists that were banned/ deplatformed including Peter McCullough, Robert W. Malone, Pierre Kory just to name a few.
His public policy had a negative impact children education with school closure and the economy with endless lockdowns and mandatory vaccination.
as a public health crises was unfortunately heavily politicize to gain power from both political parties, and they were a lot of conflicts of interests and influence from pharmaceutical industry bringing a solution to end this crisis.
Information are starting to come out regarding of what happened the last three years, people should stay open minded and critical of the information regarding this subject and many more.
Banning divergent opinions and living in echo chambers is the worst thing for having a nuanced and balanced perspective on matters that impact us our families and society in general.
Also, I want to mention that
@malwaretech banned me for no reason.
I am not here to offend, troll or harass nobody, my entent was to have a honest and open discussion.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@voidabyss @malwaretech as I can personally vouch for -this is an extremely contagious virus. We don’t want to wear masks. We don’t want vaccines. Great but I am on day 11 and my ears are still plugged and I am still not back to 100% and I don’t normally take this long to get over colds. This is not “just a cold”. This has profound impact on productivity regardless of your views. I personally wish that remote learning had turned out better. We blew it there. We errred on the side of making sure kids weren’t at risk for disease. 20/20 hindsight is always more informed. Malone’s use of the term mass formation psychosis is another example of someone not understanding their leadership role — social media has invented influencers as a group without a counterweight. There isn’t rational discussions going on. That’s the problem. It’s just clickbait. Elon is just piling on to get traffic. He probably doesn’t really believe half of what he posts. Think it that doesn’t mean you have to post it.
>as I can personally vouch for -this is an extremely contagious virus.
Agree, sucks I got it as well I wasn't vaccinated back then, I got knocked out petty bad for two weeks, but If I got to choose between Covid side effects and Vaccine side effects, I would go with there are over the counter treatments that work very well. While vaccine side effects are still misreported and treatments are not widely available.
>I personally wish that remote learning had turned out better.
Me too and I still think in the future a combination of remote and in class learning would be a great solution for education in general.
>Malone’s use of the term mass formation psychosis
It's non rational believes and behavior, people acting on pure group think ideology, us vs them. I.E mask vs antimask, vaxmax vs antivax, prolockdown vs antilockdown ..etc. Whether it's the mainstream media, or social media algorithms feeding us content we like to consume or people choosing to live in echo chambers(banning divergent opinions), that's what drive the mass formation psychosis then we start acting on bias and flawed information and perspective.
There should be a nuance and balanced approach to every topic and situation.
>Elon is just piling on to get traffic.
True, I think it's part gaslighting "the left", shit posting and other part bating bots and troll farms to him to test and implement his counter spam/bot mesures.
For that to work he has to post the most outlandish hot takes to drive engagement and monitor bots/spam behavior to be able to counter them.
>Think it that doesn’t mean you have to post it.
I would rather know what people in power think then not.
Whether I like their thoughts or not.
I see a lot people in the getting offended by Fauci pronoun tweet while it is obviously a bad joke.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@voidabyss @malwaretech It's not just a bad joke it's dangerous. We have too many crazy people that act out on that crazy. I had no vaccine side effects, I am still dealing with covid side effects. Ultimately hard decisions have to be made for the health of the population. It's not easy decisions to be made. China's zero lock down is on the extreme, conversely think of the number of people that would have died if something wasn't done. The only tool we have is distance from one another. That's it. I would rather Musk be focusing on solar and batteries than bad jokes at 3 am. He's to the point that he needs help. Clearly his sleeping habits are not normal and again, being in a leadership position he's not making that other site welcoming to advertisers. He can't $8/$11 his way out of his interest payments.
I see a lot of people in the referring to Elon as fascist/NAZI not only him, but even to people with mild centrist view points, don't you think that using those serious terms loosely is dangerous and incite crazies to act on that crazy?
There is a clear distinction between making stupid jokes and assigning dangerous labels (fascists/NAZI) to people.
Africa had the lowest* deaths rate in the world with a light touch lockdown policy and social distancing, the only tools they had was over the counter Z-Pak, Ivermectin and HQC.
Elon is billionaire he is going to be fine no matter what happens to Twitter. I don't care that much about what he says and does, that's out of my control, but I find the whole Twitter dumpster fire very entertaining for sure, especially with the recent release.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@voidabyss @malwaretech They've also learned a thing or two from Ebola about handling such things, unlike us. Age of the population also a key factor -- bbc.com/news/world-africa-5441 nytimes.com/2022/03/23/health/ Not to mention there is evidence that it has impacted but because of the age of the population not impactful.
Nothing that I'm seeing about treatments, rather taking quicker action. Moderation duties are not easy. He's not encouraging advertising on the platform for sure. I would rather the guy spent time on battery technology than what he is doing now. It's only serving to drive away the very revenue streams he needs. He didn't pay cash for that, he has to pay people back.
Here we are seeing how an inflammatory rhetoric leads to crazy criminals acting on that crazy endangering the life of an innocent child.
@voidabyss @malwaretech honey we are an insane world -see Pelosi’s husband for worse example
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@susanbradley @malwaretech Yes we are in an insane clown world and comparing an obscure dispute gone wrong inside Mr Pelosi's house to a crazy stalker endangering Elon's innocent child just shows how we live in an insane out of touch partisan society.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@voidabyss @malwaretech obscure dispute gone wrong? Dude you just went partisan, not me. No these are both examples of clickbait leading to horrible events.
You brought the husband of a pollical leader as an example
Obscure because no camera footage from the police nor the residence.
These two examples have nothing in common a part from bringing left vs right politics
The whole point is to stop spreading hate toward individuals.
in the
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@voidabyss court news yesterday-look it up WE do not have to see video-the court has seen the video. There is footage. It’s not obscure-I bring it up as an example of crazy person targeting folks just because they are related to someone else. Therefore not political. Two examples of clickbait hate.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@susanbradley
> court news yesterday-look it up WE do not have to see video-the court has seen the video.
Who's "WE"? A group cult, a political party, a religious community?
Every individual has the right to make up his own mind on events, based on objective facts and evidence.
E.g
Kyle Rittenhouse killed two people and injured one, there were multiple videos with different angles of that event. The prosecutor saw those videos and charged him with murder. The jury (12 different people) saw the same videos and determined it was self defense, he is a free man now.
I bring this example to prove that different interpretations can be made on same event based on the same objective facts.
I really got to see how the attacker got into Mr Pelosi's house, what was the nature of their relationship and what the police saw when they arrived on scene. There is no doubt that the attacker was deranged individual and online
hate clickbait may have played a factor that lead to that crime, but it's an ongoing story, I will wait and see all the evidence to make a jugement.
We can agree on clickbait hate and dangerous labels can lead to nefarious consequences.
re: Bird Site, Fascism
@voidabyss @malwaretech and he really needs to let the police investigate and handle this otherwise he is going to cause who knows what else to happen with someone else going too far
