This is a very early prototype, but I'd love to start getting feedback early. Are there any similar tools out there? A better way to approach this?
*Only Mastodon instances are supported at this time.

Why only Mastodon at this time?
Which is to say, I would have thought that the program would just listen to ActivityPub and therefore might not even know whether it was listening to a post from Mastodon or anything else.
Does it use some Mastodon API on an instance by instance basis instead of listening to ActivityPub?
Ah! Makes perfect sense to use RSS.

I just wanted a quick and easy way to search across various Mastodon instances, but I do want to do more research on how to best extend this into the wider fediverse.
