I listened to the arguments as long as I could but there were too many references to legal matters I did not know about to follow with any kind of understanding.
The question of standing seems pivotal. My sense is that the case lacks standing but the Court aims to allow judgement anyway in order to kill the loan forgiveness.

Congress has been reluctant to tackle tough challenges by kicking the can up to the other two branches and it's beginning to catch up.

This isn't a new challenge, though.
Democrats held Congress for years and didn't get around to addressing it, which was a major disappointment. Most of those who failed were reelected.

We can't just blame the GOP for this. We keep choosing to reelect representatives who have failed us.
