The #DebtCeiling is a made up, unconstitutional, non-issue. Best course of action for #Biden is to say so and simply let it drift past. Then we can all stop pretending it matters. But he’s laying none of the groundwork that would minimize the political and economic shocks of going that route. Which means he’s likely planning to simply capitulate to the congressional terrorists.
No, the Constitution, Article one I believe, specifies that Congress is given the authority to raise debt, so not only is the debt ceiling constitutional, it's constitutionally required.
The debt ceiling is just the term we used to refer to the amount that Congress has chosen to authorize to be borrowed.
It's not made up. It's right there in the text of the Constitution.
"The Congress shall have Power [..] To borrow Money on the credit of the United States;"
Article I section 8

No I am all about the 14th!
Biden keeps threatening to default, but the 14th Amendment is very clear that to default would be a deer election of his constitutional duty. There's no choice there. He cannot default, as per the Constitution, as per the 14th Amendment, Biden must pay the debts.
I'm happy to keep reading because this emphasizes my point. Biden should not be threatening to default, as that would be honestly and impeachable offense
@volkris uh huhhh… Keep reading. Let me know when you get to the 14th Amendment…
