They claim Democrats are being unreasonable. No. Republicans are by threatening to collapse the economy if they can’t enact cruelty they wouldn’t be able to any other way. Not passing a clean debt ceiling bill is unreasonable and dangerous. They passed it clean 3x under Trump.

It's simply false that clean debt ceiling bills were passed 3x under Trump, as you can see in this example, the definitely not-clean bill they passed in 2019 after a good bit of negotiation.
