My parents can somehow get everything done if it comes to apps like Facebook but when they need to reset a password from another platform it's all unknown and scary :bloblaugh:

I always let them try first before I'll fix it for them, like they did when I was younger

The same thing with Twitter people who insist " making a decision" is too difficult these days, and are paralyzed when trying to join the #Fediverse.

Choice paralysis is a much larger and more broadly recognized part of human psychology than something being caused by Twitter or learned helplessness.

But practically, choice paralysis is a real barrier to adoption of for so many users, so it's probably healthy to recognize and address the human factor concern, not dismiss it this way.
