The best feature of #Mastodon (and compatible #Fediverse software) that Big SM will *NEVER* offer in their official clients is short-term muting.
It is what lets me follow many people who I couldn’t if that was full-time. Like @lisamelton, who is basically the non-surveillance non-robotic “For You” feed for the network, whom everyone should follow in some way. Too much volume for full-time, but great for having in your feed when it seems like the net is too quiet.
