So I noticed a couple of months ago that Google News was prominently placing partisan GOP press releases in my feed as "news."

The first I saw was from Gym Jordan"s House Injustice Committee. Today it's from Ron Decline, announcing his latest effort to subvert justice in Florida.

The correct adjective here, I think, is "depraved." Why has Google put its algorithm at the service of fascism?

@volkris

Leaving aside the fact that the charge of "neglect of duty and negligence" is purely the partisan allegation of a known liar, press releases -- even from "official" accounts -- are NOT news and should not be presented as such.

Your profile had it right: If this is the level of understanding you bring to politics, you shouldn't discuss it.

I don't think it's just a press release, though, since it seems like it is the technical legal claim that the guy is making. It's not purely partisan, it is what the law specifies, right? They didn't just use those words to get the headline?

To be clear I don't know anything about this, and I honestly don't particularly care what they are doing down there, but it seems to me that this is not simply repeating propaganda, it sounds to me like this is the charge against the official so I don't know how to report this without reporting the charge being made.
