"Backed with US weapons and munitions, Israel has dropped over ten thousand bombs in Gaza in just a week, twice as many as the US dropped in Afghanistan in a year and, according to UN sources, the equivalent to a quarter of a nuclear bomb."
A quarter of a nuclear bomb worth of explosives in one week. Let that sink in.

The comparison of Gaza with an open-air prison is one that has been pretty well discredited as a rhetorical talking point with little reason to it.
But it's something people parrot all too often.
@volkris @antanicus You have a point. In most prisons - the prisoners are guaranteed meals, electricity, water and medical care. They certainly wouldn't risk being bombed, their cell bulldozed, their water supply poisoned. You're right.
