Certain mastodon instances/groups shouldn't just be able to come onto the fediverse and change the culture and narrative here. There was a long history here before them. But this means that we need something to counter this, we need to be talking about the truth more and countering their ignorance and lies.
I wish that I knew everything but there were many years before even I joined GNU Social. If we're not careful, we will lose that history from our living memory too.

@sim I thought the point of the shitposter.club instance was shit posts, so this post sounds awfully serious and I'm not sure how to take it.
Is that instance not actually all about shit posts?
@volkris Keep lurking more and you'll discover that we're a diverse and generally chilled instance. We've been around since the GNU Social days of the fediverse and witnessed many waves onto the fediverse after starting up during our own wave. Shitposter is just our namesake but we accept most types of posting. I like to seriouspost often.
