@lrreynolds Well, part of it was probably that it was easier to move SpaceX closer to the Gulf of Mexico than it was to move the Gulf of Mexico to California 🙂

@lrreynolds @volkris @TheConversationUS I really doubt this factored into the decision. Probably the biggest thing was the mix of COVID shutdowns and California politicians taking potshots at him.
@volkris @TheConversationUS ha, no doubt! But I recall his comments about moving the headquarters locations was more about avoiding CA regulations/laws and taxes. It seems these emissions regulations would have applied to both of his businesses so my guess this was part of the calculation.
