@uspolitics since he doesn't have that option we should be calling him out for being a moron, not for being the strong man that potential voters actually want.

@FuckElon it's like asking who's going to stop Trump from flying from city to city merely by flapping his arms like a bird.

It's not possible. Who's going to stop him? Reality.

Trump doesn't have the option of being a dictator. Nobody needs to stop the guy from doing something he can't do anyway.

@uspolitics

@volkris @uspolitics

Few dictators had the "option" to be dictators, until they did. How do you think that happened?

Follow

@FuckElon not via US Constitutional processes, that's for sure.

If Trump has some way of becoming dictator that's a problem, but presidency doesn't somehow confer such a way.

It's just not part of the office of president.

@uspolitics

Trump wasn't even able to get the military to tell the truth about the number of troops in the middle east, and he's supposed to somehow order them to take over a country filled with people raised from birth to worship the republic?

@sj_zero exactly.

And this points to a side topic, an ax I like to grind: the best way to keep Trump from being a viable candidate is to constantly point out what a failure he was in office. The guy really was a giant loser on count after count.

All of this acting as if Trump has the capacity to be such a monumental and powerful figure **helps to sell him to his potential voters** who are looking for just such a powerful figure.

No, we really need to be more realistic, point out what a loser he was and would be again, and stop feeding into the myth that he's using to try to get reelected.

@uspolitics @FuckElon

Honestly, 100%.

"Here's a list of things he said he'd do that he didn't", "Here's a list of idiots he appointed to positions of power that ended up betraying him", "Here's how much the budgets he ran added to the federal debt", "Here's the things he could have done during the summer of love but didn't"

Nope, instead it's "oh no he's so amazing and great we better abuse our powers to make sure we get him in undemocratic ways because he'll definitely win the election because he's so great"

@sj_zero
Yeah, I am sure he learned nothing from last time and will NOT appoint only people like Flynn to run the circus, because why would he do that this time? Oh, wait….

Nobody but John Bolton liked John Bolton, and yet there he was, one of many swamp monsters whispering in Trump's ear.
