As a younger person, I would watch “Mrs Doubtfire” and take Daniel’s side. Poor guy, right?
Now that I am older, I think that Miranda was absolutely right. She didn’t have a life partner, she had a 4th child. Her desire to provide a stable home for her children and her husband’s inability to understand her needs … well … y’know.
Did she take it too far when they divorced? Very likely, but I think her response was commensurate to her husband’s behavior.
@GayDeceiver I've always thought that Robin Williams was amazingly overestimated, and let off the hook for so much misbehavior, on screen and off, and this is part of that.
Yeah, a fourth child. An insufferable fool. But then, that was the actor's whole schtick, that people enjoyed and wanted more of for some reason.
I never found it funny. I always found it sad.
