@kkarhan @micchiato that's exactly what I'm asking for. You just made a values-based argument that says you care about #genocide and democracy without excusing #Biden.

I empathize with the dilemma. #US voters have a choice between genocide and genocide. I think people try to resolve the cognitive dissonance by minimizing Biden's actions.

My point is it's unnecessary. You can say you choose Biden's genocide over #Trump's genocide+democide. That's taking responsibility, and that's true freedom.

@cobblefresh hey, don't let US voters off the hook: we chose this choice!

We get to choose our candidates, and we chose these two for some reason.

@kkarhan @micchiato@mastodon.social

@volkris @kkarhan @micchiato the choice exists within an imperialist, white-supremacist, capitalist patriarchy. Everyone is responsible for the choices they make that support that system. Taking responsibility for voting puts the little power a US voter has back into their own hands. I believe that if people realized that, they'd at least pick different candidates. Framing the choice as a moral one between evil #Trump and imperfect #Biden removes that responsibility (and freedom) from the voter.
