Where can I find coverage and discussion of the #election2024 #election that isn't hysterical? Is #Biden really likely to step aside (how could that be after primaries?) How is his age stuff worse than the orange guys insanity and lies? I am absolutely scared at this point, especialy with the #SCOTUS we have. Yes I vote and encourage others. Is the media going to convince everyone that Joe is senile?
@catpants it all gets really complicated because not only do the balloting rules vary from state to state, but remember, they're not voting for president but for electors.
In many cases the state would recognize a change in candidate tomorrow if the Democratic Party announced it. In other cases, the electors being elected by the voting would themselves be party members who would select the new candidate.
Either way, if the party, on behalf of its membership, selects a new candidate, we can move ahead.

@volkris my question is about the ballots in the states. Wouldn’t there be issues with a new candidate being allowed on all the state ballots?
