I don't like to be cynical about politics nor, especially, about individual politicians.

However.

The last guy packed the Supreme Court with drunks, rapists, religious fanatics, zealots, and corrupt assholes.

The current guy took office and "appointed a commission" to look at the problem. That's ALL he did about it.

Now, four years later, in a tough reelection fight, he vaguely promises to reform the court if he gets reelected.

Is that supposed to be believable?
