I believe that #Harris will win the US presidency but will she be able to get anything done if the #GOP takes control of the #Senate? What happens if the GOP also keeps control of the House?
If Trump wins (I think it is becoming less likely) he would have everything in his control. This cannot happen if #USDemocracy is to survive.
Harris can wield the power of the presidency to keep democracy alive by appointing judges, applying federal rules and vetoing egregious new laws that show up on her desk. She must win!
@old_hippie I see that kind of sentiment a lot, but the reason it doesn't work is because it appeals to democracy to say that democracy can't survive.
It just doesn't make sense.
If the GOP gets those votes, well that's democracy. That is democracy surviving.
