I just remembered all the discussions about half a year ago about #threads building a bridge to the #fediverse. It seemed like a big deal.

There were calls for preemptive bans based on the Meta's history of bad behavior, and calls for not banning, so people could flee the walled gardens of corporate media and move to the green pastures of the Fediverse.

We here at TLDR opted for a wait-and-see approach. But, frankly., I haven't seen anything.

Did I miss something? If not, then why was this such a non-event?
