A man who just bought a new sports car just asked me, “Do you really think we are better off now than we were four years ago?” The rage I feel right now is beyond verbalizing. How wonderful it must be to only care about your personal finances (which are clearly fine) while WOMEN ARE DYING. Also, that question is so patronizing, so condescending, as if I haven’t actually thought about how I vote. OMG I am so sick of middle aged white men.
@DrPsyBuffy This is what “voting Trump for my wallet” people need to be told; that Elon Musk, Trump’s most important ally in America, thinks Trump _will_ crash the economy, says so outright, and thinks that’s _good_:
Elon and his sort will be just fine; the little people, the people he sees as NPCs, will just have to - and I quote him here - “embrace the pain.”
That’s what _Elon Musk_ says Trump’s plan will do, and he wants to see it, and thinks it’s good. And it’s been woefully, piteously underreported.
All the worst people you know need to know this, because truly nothing else other than a direct blow to _their_ wallet will move them.
