Martin asked 2 top prosecutors in his office to undertake an internal review of its handling of Capitol *riot* prosecutions, a move that follows a Trump #WhiteHouse #ExecutiveOrder to the #DOJ & #intelligence agencies to hunt for political *bias* [read unwillingness to crime for Trump] in their ranks.

In an email to staff Monday morning, #EdMartin stated that he had appointed Denise Cheung, chief of the #Criminal Division, & Jon Hooks, chief of the Fraud, Public Corruption & Civil Rights section, to lead a “special project” investigating the office’s charging of more than 250 Capitol *riot* defendants w/ obstructing an official proceeding of Congress, a statute #SCOTUS ruled last June was too broadly applied.

So many feel that Biden went too far with his prosecutions of people, overcharging and generally abusing laws that didn't really fit the allegations, threatening peoples' civil rights in the process.
It's only right to follow up with investigations to figure out some of how the previous administration was using or abusing its power.
