I believe truth has inherent value & that (some) people have stopped valuing it—they value their ability to distort truth to oppress, gain power.

We have to *value* truth again, as a society. It has to be a societal bedrock.

If it's not, if we don't care, we will destroy everything.

THAT is why you value truth.

THAT is the hard lesson we have to learn societally (and are definitely not there yet and may not be for some time).

Well, there's a complication that people have started talking about your truth and my truth.

You get to the point where people value truth... for a certain meaning of truth.
