The Chief Justice speaks out to protect democracy, at least as far as his own institution is concerned. Hopefully this signals an intent to stand for more. In the face of silence from the GOP, he has chosen to take this remarkable step of warning the president to back off.
3/ Roberts: "For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose."

@GottaLaff The Supreme Court absolutely did not make a mother fucker absolutely immune from crimes.
In fact, in its ruling the Supreme Court actively stated that prosecution of Trump should continue for his crimes.
A whole lot of reporting gets that backwards. It does make for better headlines I guess.
