hi linux fans. going to take another old thinkpad out of a drawer. this one has arch installed on it, but i havent booted it for 4 years. i will type 'pacman -Syyu' and see if it works properly. if it does, then linux is good. if it doesn't, then linux is bad

@jk sounds like it will be a judgment on Arch and pacman, not Linux.

I've never been particularly impressed by those.

@volkris it's okay, i will do the same thing with debian next week. i will keep doing it until your favorite linux comes out looking absolutely horrible and utterly embarrassing, or possibly fine

Do this on OpenSUSE. I just upgraded 15.1 to 15.6 remotely w/o much issues (Damn firewalld migration required some safety net, but tbh my SuSEfirewall setup was pretty complicated with some VPNs and 4 physical nets). And I have Nvidia GPU on that rig.
