Democrats in the House and Senate announced plans for a wide-ranging investigation into immigration agents’ detention of citizens after a ProPublica story found that more than 170 Americans have been held by immigration officials this year.
In case you missed it: When the Supreme Court recently allowed immigration agents to consider race during sweeps, Justice Brett Kavanaugh said that citizens shouldn’t be concerned because agents will “promptly let the individual go.”
For these Americans, that wasn’t true.

@vivtek well, if anything they're the legal teams that developed the legal record, and the ones bringing the case before the Court, that bear that responsibility.
Courts are to rule based on the information set before them in the case, and it looks like lengthy detentions weren't part of the record.
