This is why i won't read or watch most major American news media anymore. When they paid Trump to apologize for doing the news about him it was an admission that they cannot do proper news anymore.
If a shared story looks interesting i might search for it from a publisher i do not have reason to distrust yet

@RnDanger I would say the problem isn't that they paid Trump or whatever this is talking about.
I'd say the problem is that they say things that are provably untrue. That's why so many lost faith in in American news media.
I honestly don't care who gets paid, but I do care that news media was gaslighting us.

I care about the money here because it's what motivates these companies to do anything at all and it clearly shows their allegiances.
If they cared about doing news they would fight to tell the truth. They chose to pay him money and admit fault instead because he gets to decide on their mergers. They cannot produce fair or accurate news in this state, it is precluded as a possibility now.
I think a lot about the motivations of the writer and their organization when I'm reading. By paying Trump, these outlets have given me reason never to bother looking at them again
@RnDanger I think that if we are clear about not watching because what they say is false, maybe they would improve and actually be more accurate because that would get them viewership and money.
That's why I focus on their news being factually false rather than anything involving Trump or whatever.
We will watch news that is accurate. They need to make accurate news. They can get money by making accurate news. I just want to really focus on that.

So they would get money!
So they should knock off the inaccurate reporting!

That makes sense. I just feel like they won't care which news you look at as long as it's theirs, and they often run with parallel realities for exactly this reason.
