Mother effing #SCOTUS on Thursday came to the rescue of #Texas #Republicans & #Trump, allowing next year’s #elections to be held under the state’s congressional #redistricting plan favorable to the #GOP & pushed by Trump despite a lower-court ruling that the map likely discriminates on the basis of #race.
The “justices”acted on an emergency request from TX for quick action because qualifying in the new districts already has begun, with primary elections in March.

@Nonilex IOW, the Less Than Supreme Court has done it again! The Anything But Supreme Court should be investigated for actions inconsistent with the powers vested to it by the Constitution.
The Supreme Court pointed out that the lower court seems to have made substantial errors in its process, so it stayed the likely erroneous ruling.
The question before the Court at this juncture isn't actually about Texas or voting at all, but about Constitutional process.
